Offline Quality Guarantee
Our access panel is a representative group of respondents who have been pre-recruited and have agreed to take part in research. Our quality guarantee to you comes through our active management of the Panel.
- Study participation is controlled, with strict rules on panellist usage to ensure respondents do not become overloaded or perceived as "professional".
- Frequency and quality of response is monitored, and panellists removed if this is not up to required standards.
- Regular updates are undertaken of the demographic and lifestyle information held on panellists.
- An incentivisation programme maximises response rates.
- There is regular communication through newsletters and free phone to endorse a "community" spirit - It is because they have already provided details about the demographics of all individuals in the household as well as a range of other ownership and usage information, that it is possible to select very precisely defined sub-groups such as high income earners or teens – groups traditionally regarded as too difficult or too costly to interview.
The Access Panel is not a lifestyle database.
- Members of the Access Panel have opted in so response rates are high.
- Because panellists have agreed to co-operate we can recontact them over time to monitor behaviour and attitude changes. With a database this is usually very difficult as response rates are low.
- With a Panel, the recruitment process is strictly controlled to ensure demographic and regional representation. Databases can have many biases as there is no control over the recruitment process.
- On the Panel, extensive background details are held which are updated regularly. With a database only limited data is available and there is no control over its recency.
